Aaaargh....If they do this with all of their releases, I'm going to have to buy them all over again!

Hopefully they will; do the same with Enos Mcloud "Genious of Enos" as that is a CD I have been looking for a long time.
I have a rip which I was kindly sent but really want a pucker copy.
BTW, it would be nice if Pressure Sounds were to look at issueing some new material rather than remastering and repackaging their previously issued catalogue.
After all I am happy with what I already own but would feel obliged to upgrade to the newer release and spend money that I feel would be better spent on music that I don`t already own.

Following this will be a re-release entitled "Even Harder Shade of Black". Soon after will be "Hardest Shade OF Black", to be followed six months later by "The Return of Hardest Shade in 3D".
Really though, not to knock PS, as they sre still doing something, and of course we have the option to buy or ignore.

And given the opportunity to hear it in 3D we will most certainly buy!

Third that Enos Mcloud cant find for love nor money would also like a copy of PSCD15 Techniques in Dub for a price that wont break the bank.

When hearing to some samples of the re-issued Harder Shade Of Black CD, I seem to hear an over-compressed sound... Is the sound level on that one really pushed to the maximum ?...

I noticed the same thing. They seem to be following the trend to limit the frequencies in order to pump up the volume. Apparantly the kids like this, as so much music is now experienced in iPods and postable players. Another example of people trading off quality for convenience.

Are you sure it isn't just compressed on the PS website to keep bandwidth use at a minimum?davek wrote:>When hearing to some samples of the re-issued Harder >Shade Of Black CD, I seem to hear an over-compressed >sound... Is the sound level on that one really pushed >to the maximum ?...

I recently bought the album and don't recall the sound being over-compressed (I've only played it a couple of times as I already have the other 2 Santic PS releases). Sadly, I am not a kid so pretty sure I would have noticed.
I'll try and dig it out tonight, have a listen and let you know.

Listened to it and it sounds fine to me.
Also dug out **["Santic & Friends"](http://www.roots-archives.com/release/658)** to compare the sound and I couldn't hear any difference.
