Power amps that be good for bass?

Lookin' to put togther a sound system, what kind of amp would be good for weight? I 'ear good things about valve, tubes, but they ain't so readily available like they used to be

i use valves and also transistors (weight: approx 50 to 60 kg)

i can confirm valves sounds better (to me)
