Vuvuzelas in reggae?

After watching the World Cup on TV for the past few days, I have come to the conclusion that reggae *needs* an Augustus Pablo-type figure - but with a vuvuzela. Or bands with a dedicated vuvuzela section.

Any thoughts on this?

to be honest, i thought the novelty of blowing one of them would have worn out by now. obviously not. we're only hearing on TV. spare a thought for those sitting in the stand trying to watch the game.
funny, the biggest talking point in this world cup so far are the vuvuzelas.
anyway, germany look strong all over, brazil turned it on last night when they needed to. looking forward to seeing spain today. i hope the lacklustre start by most other teams was only first game cautiousness, nerves, and we'll see some top football in the next few weeks.
b.t.w, argentina look good too. i hope one of the african teams does well, probably ivory coast would be my pick of them if they can get drogba nearer match fit.

But that's his trademark sound, isn't it? How would you know that it was a Jah Shaka record otherwise?

I dunno, played skilfully, I reckon that the vuvuzela could impart something of a mystic quality to the music...

I pity those in the stands... Noise-reduction headphones must be selling at the same rate as the 'vuvu' things. Anyway, they won't stand the test time. In reggae: please lets not talk about it.

Stick-a-Bush: Sure it's his trademark sound, but to me it is
overdone at parts, especially when it comes to mentioned record.
To create a 'mystic' sound out of the the Vuzuelas is hardly to imagine. In this case I vote for Sugar Belly's bamboo saxophone!

That album is the only record Shaka has ever put those sirens on, hardly overdone apart from that one, by him at least.
