Knotty, here I come again!
Maybe somebody can tell I someting about the sound quality of the Pressure Sounds reissue of Earth & Stone´s `Kool Roots´.
Have a good sound or it´s a simple vinyl transfer
full of bad noises?

I don't know what quality you require, but to my ears, the sound is quite nice and the same for Knowledge (maybe a little less good). M10 is Makasound's 'distributor (?)' (don't know the english name) for a lot of albums, like the McAnuff ones, and I never noticed a particular bad sound..

The sound quality again. Okay. The original recording of the Kool Roots records was brilliantly mastered in england back in 1979 for Cha Cha Records (Channel One England)which means it lost some bass as normal to all masters done in reggae.
But the overall quality is very good and the rerelease on Pressure Sounds is in no way inferior to the original. Seen ?
Selah.

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!
Who cares about the hiss/crakles on a (bad) vynil?????? There is no way of reproducing the original bass sound of an original vynil with computers! No matter how powerfull a softwear you may use! Believe me , especially with reggae music, vynil rules everytime, provided you have a good copy. Bob Marley was killed by the CD, could you compare the original sound of an LP such as Exodus with the dodgy remastered (for no exact purpose) CD sound?????
Kool Roots is of far better quality on vynil than on CD and, like you, I've got both version (including a very clean (and expensive!) double vynil).
Respect everytime!
