I've read a few things about Ras Cardo (Ricardo Scott) recently. He claims to have "created, coined, and invented the word reggae in 1962 at the back of his tenement house". He also claims to be "the chief architect and foundation legend in the origination of many of the songs and teachings of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Junior Braithwaite and others during those times" and that "He is an original wailing wailer and reggae pioneer".
I haven't found anything written by anyone other than Scott himself that confirms any of this.
Has anyone read any of his books and/or have any opinions on this?
