Mysterious 45...

Post by Ninja B »

I have this 45, and i just can't find out who's singing... and that bothers me too much :)
It has 2 different songs on it, the matrix is JY 34 and JY 36, I guess it's a (illegal) repressing 'cause it looks so shiny and new...
No clues on the label neither, they are snow-white
take a listen:

Big thanks for listening

This is a second single, on the 'for me' completely unknown PEE label (i'm not joking). Its has 2 organ instrumentals, one of them is a version of "Watch This Sound" from Slim Smith.
Some info on producer, label, musicians, a.s.o. is greatly appreciated

Must admit I have not checked the samples but from the matrix numbers given it should be Jackie Opel 'Tears from my eyes' b/w 'Valley of Green' on Top Deck label, produced by Justin Yap (therefore the J and Y). Release date is 1965.

The Pee label was Jimmy Riley's (aka Martin Riley) label from 1970 until around 1972.
The 7" you are having there could be 'Catch This Sound' credited to Channel 5 (another Jimmy Riley alias from that time) from 1970.
rougher yet

Another blank label, Singers are completely unknown by me.
Tuff Tunes! All info (even guesses) are very welcome.
One side: "Your Love Is Like A Burning Fire" matrix: TT 101 B-1.
The other side: "Betrayed By The One Girl That You Love" matrix: TT 101 A-1
