Johny Osbourne - Warrior / Come Back Darling Question

Post by Rootsman »

Can anyone tell me if the CD twoofer of these two albums play in album track order ie "Come Back Darling" then "Warrior" or have the the tracks from the two albums been jumbled up to play in a randon order.

Thanks

01. Come Back Darling (Come Back Darling - A1)
02. He Who Keepeth His Mouth (Come Back Darling - A2)
03. Power And The Glory (Come Back Darling - A4)
04. One Day Youll Need My Kiss (Come Back Darling - A5)
05. Warrior (Come Back Darling - B1)
06. If Its Not Love (Come Back Darling - B2
07. Foolish Plan (Come Back Darling - B4)
08. See And Blind (Come Back Darling - B5)
09. Bad Boy (Warrior - A1)
10. Inflation (Warrior - A5)
11. What A Fire (Warrior - B4)
12. Ready Or Not
13. Ninman
14. My Name Is Man
15. Love Is For Jah (Warrior - A2)
16. Jah Jah Live Forever (Warrior - A3)
17. I Cant Keep Next To You (Warrior - B2)
18. Wish I Could Express In Words (Warrior - A4)
19. Too Wise (Warrior - B3)
20. Mr Politician (Warrior - B1)

Come Back Darling: the four tracks Johnny Organ did, are not on the combi-CD.
[cover=2010,2372]

Warrior: The title track isn't on the combi-CD (this tune is different from the one on Come Back Darling).
Btw, there are 2 Warrior albums, which have a slightly different mix. As far as I can hear on the combi-CD the tracks are taken from the Black Joy release.
[cover=529,638]

Ready Or Not, Ninman and My Name Is Man aren't on both original albums.

Edit: (There are 2 Warrior albums, which have a slightly different mix) + different track order. The track order on the combi-CD is different from both Warrior albums.

'Ready or Not', 'Ninman' (which should read 'Nyah Man') and 'My name is man' are taken from the 'Ready or not' album. http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2854
I don't know what came to Mr.Riley's mind when he not only omitted the 'Warrior' title track but also the fabulous 'Purify your heart' from that compilation.

Thanks Hans & Bellyman, as always your help is informative and much appreciated.

I have the 2 disc Trojan CD of "Come Back Darling" which is excellent and also a rip of the Black Joy issue of "Warrior".

However, I was hoping to get a pucker CD issue of "Warrior" but the twoofer with "Come Back Darling" seems to be the only way that "Warrior" is available on CD.

Unless someone else can tell me otherwise ;)

Thanks

Picked up the twoofer yesterday.

Was pleasantly surprised with how well the tracks sounded together considering the time lapse between the sets of recordings.

A nice CD and well worth the £8.00
