I've noticed many Ebay sellers of 60's and 70's JA vinyl are from Plantation, Florida.
Does anyone know why this is? Very interesting that so much comes from FL.

Think about it. Jamaica is only about a one hour flight away and a lot of Jamaicans live in South Florida.

It may also be that sellers have trouble with postage from jamaica (cost and reliability), which puts people off ordering records from there. However if they carry them to the U.S., they can get them insured cheaply, and people are more likely to bid higher.
As Gee points out, it's very close.

Yes, I lived in South Florida for 5 years. HUGE Jamaican/Caribbean community down there.
There also used to be a strictly reggae (vinyl) record store in North Miami (at least until 2006), but I think its since closed.

There's a reason you see Miami, New York, Toronto, London printed BWIA 45 sleeve.

I have noticed at least one seller from Plantation Florida who states in the auctions that they ship from Jamaica.
