anyone who knows anything about this new 'bob marley live at harvard stadium 1979' - is it a legit and acceptable release? is the quality of the footage good enough? or is it a pirate

Looks like these are digitized from VHS but the original footage would have been decent quality.

should be the july 1979 amandla concert featuring babatunde olatunji on percussion.there has been a bootleg copy circulating for quite sometime now.

mike andy and fadel are correct, this is the harvard stadium concert, a pro shot albeit one with only three different cameras, if I remember correctly...allegedly some students filmed back in the days and then it lay in their vaults for two decades before being rediscovered

It's an official german release as far as i know. It's been released on VHS years ago in Germany and now available on dvd again, not sure on the quality but i'm sure it's very acceptable 8+/10 if they have released it.
