Re: curious about your listening habits
I'm pretty much 100% roots and dub with some 70's/80's jazz and funk for variety. Bad Brains and Misfits are in there. Stopped buying hip hop in my early twenties but some grade A east coast early/mid nineties boom bap will always be appreciated.
I've been trying to put my Dj friends as of recent onto Theo Parrish, Moodyman/Kenny Dixon Jr., Rick Wade, Dez Andres etc etc for when they DJ bars and whatnot. I can gladly listen to deep/Detroit house if someone has to spin "dance music". Its arguably the roots and culture sound of "dance music" if you will.

Re: curious about your listening habits
I listen to music at least 6-8 hours daily, 30% of that is reggae, 30% is old school funk, 20% contemporary small European releases and 20% is whatever comes across my eyes while working.

90% Reggae (mostly roots)
5% Classic rock (same era)
5% old and not so old punk
I love the 70's sound, can't explain it. I sometimes imagine I will get over reggae and move onto something new, but there's nothing better that I want to listen to.
