Well , it seems like there's at least some good dubstep with reggae influence out there. But I'm no expert, and I'm sure some of the real experts would disagree with my definition of dubstep anyway.

Those 2 seem to have the strongest connection with roots singers and toasters, and their music swings and grooves rather than just the usual dubstep approach of throwing a load of wobbly bass onto techno beats.
So yes, the majority of dubstep is unlistenable for me with all the thudding techno beats, but the digikal and steppers scenes of the last 10 years have the same problem.
Anyway, to get back on topic, the "Scientist Launches Dubstep" LP veers more towards the techno than roots vibes, so I'd stay away from that one.
