Rasta pon his motorcycle

Post by leggo rocker »

Dis one prompted by a wildly off topic thread elsewhere and a spate of boredom!

Please name (and link to if possible) all the reggae LPs you know with motorcycles on the artwork, or in the lyrics. The anoraks can also name the bike(s) if they can!

I'll get the wheels rolling with this one:

Johnnie Clarke Reggae Rebel:

Bike= Suzuki GS750LTD (maybe???)

The first thing that came to mind is the Big Youth compilation "Ride Like Lightning - The Best of Big Youth 1972-1976", Trojan 2002. I can't find an entry for it in the archives though.

I think the bike is a Honda 305. Looks like the one I used to have anyway. Nice wheelie he's popping too.

I bought the comp because all the tracks from Natty Cultural Dread are on it. My vinyl of that went missing long ago.

Peace,

James

Thanks, there it is! I guess I can't read today.

Looking at the cover again, I suppose that could be a 250 instead of a 305.
