Thru the blessings of God, there is a happy ending to this story.
I had foregone bidding on another "Tell it to the Children" CD while I was waiting for mine to arrive in the mail. These were, oddly, on auction at the same time. As far as I know they are the only 2 copies that have shown up on Ebay in a very long time. Once the Carpenters'-filled disc arrived, I was kicking myself for not buying the other copy.
Anyhow, I sent an e-mail to the seller of the CD I didn't bid on; asking if he had any other copies other than the one he sold. He wrote back a few days later saying he had just 1 left.
For whatever reason I believed that this seller was a very honest person and decided to give it a try. He offered an EXCELLENT price and today my Ijahman arrived brand new and still in shrinkwrap! I had to listen to it first before I wrote this post. It is indeed a wonderful album and worth every penny. Thank you all again for your kindness about my initial post.
