Declare your interest here ORAS because, as usual, your posts are confusing. We're having trouble working out if you're negative about collie or not.

Are you Rasta or not?

If yes, then do you believe, as rastas do, that herb is sacrament?

Do you smoke?

I am not poking at you, I just feel there's some confusion about this and it would be cool if you cleared it up.

Oh, and check Oras's PM, there's a message for you there.

I am 47 ,I had my first spliff at 12/13 and smoke for about 10 years then slowed down and stopped after a couple more years.

1. because it used to cost AUS $30 an ounze until Thai Buddha sticks started to appear then every cheap prick started making their own sticks from Australian heads!

2. because it started to taste like window putty!!!
( looking back I was probably being sold Hydro )

3. because everyone started using BONGs and tobacco beacuse it was getting expensive and spliffs were "a waste "

4. because it became more of an offence to have even a little bit on you!

5. Because it affected me mentally ( I would become paranoid)

6. because several of my friends and school friends ended up in Mental Hospitals or suicided ( granted they took trips as well , which did not help)

BUT BUT BUT I do have 1 friend who has smoked for 35 years and he is ok
( well kind of )

And yes EASY I was saying anything burned will damage your lungs some what
so maybe eating or drinking it would be better.

I think the piss, in moderation , is just as pleasing and fun !

Oh and coughing opens up your lungs too......
I coughed every time I smoked HAHAHA

each to their own

Weed has never made me paranoid. They really *are* watching me.

:D

Seriously though here's the bad side effects I've noticed as a long term smoker - although I have had several long breaks of up to a year or more and don;t smoke every day now. But when I do smoke, I smoke morning, noon and night.

1: I've had a bad trip on skunk in Holland. Each time I closed my eyes I felt like I was in some kind of free-fall. It felt like plunging to my death down an endless lift shaft. Not mice. And I've had the same experience on other, thankfully rare occasions. But this is usually ONLY if I smoke strong skunk after a long and total lay off from herb.

2: I once threw up. But I think it was doctored weed and I had also drank too glasses of wine and I am a total lightweight with drink.

3: It constipates me. Which I find very distressing as I'm kind of obsessive about regular dumping!

4: I can be extremely lazy when in a big smoking period. It definitely took the edge off my ambition as a kid and led to me not getting a place in a serious motorcycle race team - even after I lapped all the other contenders in the test. But I was too shit faced to get my act together and missed a massive chance which I will always regret.

5: When I stop smoking for my times off I can't sleep, I sweat heavily in bed as my liver tries to detox. During the first days I feel oddly out of sorts and my temper is short.

I love herb and have done for a very long time. But I recognise that it is an intoxicant, which means it has toxins in it. But so does cooked food and so does the air in my city, lots of them!

Sorry to hear of anything like this, but having seen the effects of too many trips on people (I once know some people who got real silly with trips and at least one ended up in a mental hospital within a year), I am inclined to think they are more likely to have been the problem there! I am also convinced (albeit purely from observation) that exstacy has led to huge amounts of depression. Don't forget though - half the modern world is being put on prozac etc by their doctors, and most of them don't smoke!

As for paranoia - it affects some people in my experience, so if it does, don't smoke it! Not surprising though that cannabis smokers get paranoid, with the papers trying to make out we are a bunch of knife-wielding-skunk-crazed-hippy-schizophrenic-maniacs!

Tell Babylon to free up the weed and stop persecuting the smoker!
By all means find out the truth about the health effects and then let me make up my own mind!

Peace and Love

Until we disband the Daily Mail and Daily Express, we stand little chance of legalization in the UK!

now thats really surprised me. £30 for an oz in australia. how long ago was that selecta bing. i've heard aussie weed is very good, nowadays anyway. while thai varies in quality. and boy are those thai seeds hard to germinate. last time i saw thai sticks was about 16 years ago in london. nowadays they tend to compress it. and its rarely sensi, most always full of seed. also i've come to the conclusion [maybe i'm wrong] that people who smoke tend to get a little paro because they gotta hide their habit from family, police, neighbours etc all the time. cant be good for the mind. i've strolled around amsterdam, red eyed, no prodlem, no looking over your shoulder and certainly no paranoia. lovely. great place.

Even AU$300 is very cheap seeing as an AUSSIE dollar is worth about two rabbits and a wallaby's ear right now. ;)
