@ ACEtone Why do you always assume I`m talking to you?
Everyone has their views on certain things. I think it`s better hearing music out in a boogie box not through earphones. If you prefer earphones then fine. No need to throw your earphones out of your pram.

One thing I was surprised to learn in recording engineering classes back in college (long time ago, admittedly) is that the human ear is much more efficient at hearing high frequencies than low. Don't boost the bass, cut the treble.

How best to do that is a subject worthy of all the discussion preceeding this little comment. ;)
