Very diificult to pick one little track out of many many many tracks that i know about.Try Dub wiser by A Pablo on rising sun album, nominated cos its brilliant but also cos i never ever heard this riddim anywhere else.Anyone else doing that?Nominating one track, a unique sounding track? Good thread, this.Original dubs are not too easy to find, but i like one track on dubwise shower/fe me dub, its all about being hungry i think, and features vocal snippets saying "and Irish moss" Bellyful, really full"..great dub.

There's no such thing as one best "Dub Album". However, since King Tubby has been credited as being the KING OF DUB,and rightly so,listen to most of his stuff endlessly. This will give you a thorough introduction to this fantastic music.

"Where Eagles Dare" mixed at Tubby's for Harry Mudie is for me one of the greatest dubs.

Surprised nobody has mentioned The Disciples. Just about anything released by Russ D over the years is of interest, but try

Resonations LP
Oh Jah Jah 10" (Boom Shacka Lacka label)
Prince Alla Showcase LP
most releases on Universal Roots label
Rastafari Is The Way 7" - Errol Bellot (Jah Tubby's label)

Other personal favourites include many of Manasseh's releases - unique sound. Currently releasing music on Roots Garden label, but most of the old Riz Records releases are wicked.

"Surprised nobody has mentioned The Disciples"

Not really surprising as this forum is mostly about old school roots from the 70s and early 80s
